I don’t know how many truckers read Wap Review but I bet there are at least a few. So here’s a dedicated trucking industry mobile site. It’s a  truck scale locator from CAT Scale, a company that manufactures and operates automatic truck scales. The URL is catscale.mobi

CAT Scale claims to be the largest truck scale network in the world, with over 1,200 locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. It’s important for truckers to know the weight of their rigs as load limits vary from highway to highway and operating an overweight truck can result in a substantial fine. CAT Scale offers a guarantee that if a driver receives an overweight fine after weighing legal on a CAT brand scale, the company will either pay the fine or appear in court with the driver as an expert witness in order to get the fine dismissed

The Cat Scale mobile site is quite easy to use. You enter a postal code or a city and US state or Canadian province and get a listing of the three nearest CAT Scales with address and click-to-call phone number. There is also a Google mobile map highlighting the scale locations with the option to get driving directions to any of them. The search interface also offers some advanced options to change the search radius and number of results although the defaults should be fine in most cases.
