Carnival of the Mobilists #166 at WIP Jam

WIP Carnival and Logos

This week’s Carnival is at WIP Jam. It’s hosted by Caroline Lewko who has assembled a great collection of posts from the mobile blogsphere. Items include a look at the mobile privacy debate, LiMo, iPhone gaming, and an interview with Tomi Ahonen.

Special congratulations to London Calling‘s Andrew Grill who won Post of the Week honors for his write up of last week’s Mobile Marketing Association event in London.  And thanks to Caroline for including my Ovi developer’s event piece. Visit the Carnival here: Carnival of the Mobilists #166 (mobile version)

While you’re at the Carnival take a look around  the WIP Jam site and check out the new mobile version of WIP Jam created by Vancouver’s Mobify.me. WIP (Wireless Industry Partnership) is a grass roots organization that seeks to open up lines of communication between mobile  developers and industry leaders. WIP holds developer “Jam” sessions at major industry events like MWC and CTIA which operate under a “No PPT, No Panels!”, No Ties!” mandate. The WIP Jam site provides developer information and news and schedules of upcoming WIP Jam sessions.

If you’re a developer and will be at CTIA in Las Vegas next week be sure to sign up for the WIP Jam Session (and the party after) which will be held Thursday, April 2nd. Sadly, I won’t be at this CTIA but I had the pleasure of attending the WIP Jam at the last one. It was one the best mobile developer events ever thanks to its unique open dialog between developers and mobile operator and  device manufacturer representatives.  But you need to register today as Caroline says that the event is almost full.
