This week’s Carnival of the Mobilists is the first to be hosted on a mobile phone! You read that right, the hosting site, AntoineRJWright.com runs in a Nokia Web Server on a Symbian handset. It’s not the fastest site in the world but seems to be keeping up the the increased traffic load of the Carnival without missing a beat.
As always, the Carnival features some great posts on all aspects of the mobile experience from user interface design to mobile marketing. Antoine has tied them together with a really clever metaphor that makes this Carnival an especially fun one to visit.
You are so right about it not being the fastest site in the world. That’s probably the only thing about using the MWS that could use some enhancements from the side of those who visit one’s site.
So far, hosting this week has been a blast, and its seems that the mobile is doing well with it too – battery usage is a little worse than normal, but not major.
