FuelEconomy.gov Mobile Edition

If you are shopping for a new or used car or truck you need to think about fuel economy.  A more efficient vehiche can save you up to $1,400 per year in reduced fuel costs alone..  Plus reducing petroleum consumption is good for the economy and burning less fuel also reduces the emission of greenhouse gases that contribute to global warming.

FuelEconomy.gov was created by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOT) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to help consumers research the fuel economy of vehicles they are considering buying. The mobile version of the site is especially handy for looking up mileage ratings from the dealer's showroom or used car lot. It lists EPA estimated highway and city miles per gallon for all cars and light trucks sold in the U.S. since 1985.  Listings also include an estimate of annual petroleum use in barrels and carbon footprint in tons of C02 per year.
