Bank of America
www.bankofamerica.com/mobile/ (HTML5)
Bank of America forces Android and iOS users to click through an annoying "doorslam" page promoting the bank's app in order to reach the mobile webapp. At least the door slam isn't completely useless as it has a link to the ATM locator that doesn't require a login.
The main webapp lets users check their balances, pay bills, transfer funds between accounts and find bank and ATM locations.

Wells Fargo

Another big US bank has launched a mobile web bank site. The free service lets Wells Fargo customers check balances, transfer funds between accounts and view recent transactions. Customers need to sign up for mobile banking on the web at mobile.wellsfargo.com using a PC. I'm not a Wells customer but based on the Flash demo at wellsfargo.com/mobile the mobile site appears to have good usability. Wells does not offer an ATM finder on the mobile site which is the mobile banking feature that I actually use the most.
Citibank

CitiBank forces Android and iOS users to click through a page advertising their native app before they can access the bank's webapp. Once they find the webapp, it lets them view balances, pay any person or business in the U.S., transfer funds between Citi accounts, find branches and ATM's and call customer service with a single click.

CapitalOne360 (formerly ING Direct) is the internet branch of CapitalOne bank. It has good interest rates on insured savings and checking accounts. The mobile banking site which lets customers view balances and transactions and transfer funds between account using their mobile phones. There's also an ATM finder which doesn't require a log in.

First Republic
m.firstrepublic.com (xhtml-mp)
First Republic is the retail banking arm of stock broker Merrill Lynch. The parent company was acquired last year by Bank of America. At least for now First Republic has kept its name, URLs and mobile web site. The mobile site offers the bank's customers account summaries, balances, transaction history, transfers between accounts and bill payment. There is also an ATM and branch locator which does not require a login and can thus be used by anyone. The locator's results listing are pretty minimal, there are no maps or driving direction options and phone numbers are not click to call! Source: Oh! Mobile Directory
