Mobile sites that help you to buy or sell a car including new and user car price guides, vehicle but/sell search sites and EPA fuel economy listings.

EPA Fuel Economy
fueleconomy.gov/m/ (xhtml-mp)

If you are shopping for a new or used car or truck you need to think about fuel economy. A more efficient vehiche can save you up to $1,400 per year in reduced fuel costs alone.. Plus reducing petroleum consumption is good for the economy and burning less fuel also reduces the emission of greenhouse gases that contribute to global warming.
FuelEconomy.gov was created by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOT) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to help consumers research the fuel economy of vehicles they are considering buying. The mobile version of the site is especially handy for looking up mileage ratings from the dealer's showroom or used car lot. It lists EPA estimated highway and city miles per gallon for all cars and light trucks sold in the U.S. since 1985. Listings also include an estimate of annual petroleum use in barrels and carbon footprint in tons of C02 per year. Source: submitted by a reader.

Vehix is a site for car shoppers. The mobile version lets you find new and used cars for sale by zip code with prices and click to call phone numbers. You can also lookup the value of any used car made since 1989. Those features worked well, however digging deeper in the site revealed a lot of non-functioning links. AutoTrader (UK)
autotrader.mobi (xhtml-mp)
Looking to buy or sell a used car or motorcycle? If you are in the UK, AutoTrader looks like it would be helpful. It started as one of those free shopper magazines that you find on racks at the supermarket but has expanded to include a website and now a mobile site at autotrader.mobi. The mobile version lets you search a database of over 400,000 vehicles for sale by make, model and postcode. The site is free to use for buyers, no registration is required and listings include the seller's contact information.
To place an ad you will need to visit AutoTrader's full site at autotrader.co.uk Ads are not free. Prices range from £9.99 for a 2 week online-only (including mobile) listing of a vehicle priced under £1000 to £44.00 for a 3 week listing of a more expensive vehicle with the ad appearing simultaneously on the web and in the print magazine.
There's an AutoTrader in the US too. It's under different ownership but uses the same business model as its UK names with a free shopper magazine and a web site (AutoTrader.com) but no mobile presence that I could find. Opportunity lost for AutoTrader.com. Especially as two of it's US competitors are on the mobile web; Vehix Mobile and Cars.com Mobile
