New and updated mobile web sites found on the mobile web and added to the yeswap.com mobile portal.

Portals/PDA

MobileTopSoft (pda.mobiletopsoft.com) Huge (over 800 sites) portal of mobile friendly sites. Browse by categories and site language. Registered users can add sites and create a personal links page. The site tracks the hits each link gets so you can sort by popularity. The screenshot shows the top 15 English sites by popularity. I was surprised by the popularity of financial sites. MobileTopSoft also has a page of mostly news and sports Windows Mobile streaming video sites from around the world.

Search/Web-Wap Search

Yahoo oneSearch (m.yahoo.com) Yahoo’s rolled out oneSearch in seven more markets (India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam) bringing the total to 14. If you’re in one of these countries, oneSearch is now on your Yahoo mobile homepage. You can also access the localized versions from anywhere in the world by adding a two country code to the Yahoo mobile url. For example, in.m.yahoo.com will show the Indian edition. The other codes are id, my, ph, sg, th and vn. Quite a variety but all interesting.

Technology/Mobile

Opera Mini Bookmarklets (o.yeswap.com) Based on a suggestion from Opera Mini Forum member gonsa12, I’ve updated my page of bookmarklets for Opera Mini with a new one for Bloglines. Follow the instructions on the page to add the bookmarklet to Opera Mini. Then when you are browsing, if the page you are on has a feed, you can add it to your Bloglines subscriptions right from within Opera Mini with just a couple of clicks. The combination of Opera Mini and Bloglines Mobile is the best way to read RSS feeds on a phone. Read all about bookmarklets in Opera Mini and why in this post.

Technology/Mobile/News – Reviews

Wireless Watch Japan (wirelesswatch.jp/wp-mobile.php) Mobile edition of a popular blog covering the latest from the world’s most advanced mobile culture.

Technology/Mobile/Downloads

PocketPcFreeware.mobi (pocketpcfreeware.mobi) A searchable library of downloadable Windows Mobile freeware.
