Taptu is one of my favorite mobile search engines. I’ve blogged about Taptu<\/a>‘s mobile search product and it is listed in the Wap Review Mobile Directory’s Web Search section<\/a>. But did you know that Taptu also has a blog? Unlike so many boring promotional corporate blogs, Taptu’s actually has content of interest to mobile developers, entrepreneurs and enthusiasts. Posts cover a wide range of topics from analysis of industry news like the recent Yahoo, Microsoft search deal, mobile design and usability tips, and mobile application and site reviews.<\/p>\n

Another great thing about the Taptu Mobile Search Blog<\/em> is that it uses James Pearce’s WordPress Mobile Pack<\/a> plug-in to deliver a mobile optimized version to all browsers while preserving thematic consistency<\/a>. What’s that?\u00a0 Thematic consistency means that all links, including deep links to posts, pages and tag and monthly archives will work and deliver the same content, optimized for mobile as needed.\u00a0 It’s a critical element to making your site’s content discoverable and usable on mobile devices where deep links to content are extensively shared on social networks like Twitter and social bookmarking services such as\u00a0 delicious.com.<\/p>\n
