Have you tried visiting it with a mobile phone? There&#8217;s a bug in Facebook&#8217;s mobile browser detection and redirection logic that causes many Fan Pages to return a 404 &#8220;Not Found&#8221; error when visited  with most mobile browsers. This bug doesn&#8217;t affect the iPhone, Android and WebOS browsers which are not redirected and get the desktop version of the fan page,\u00a0 but S60 Webkit, Opera Mini, Mobile Internet Explorer, the BlackBerry browser and feature phone\u00a0 browsers all see the 404 error.<\/p>\n<p>I discovered this when I tried to open the page\u00a0 for my <a title=\"mobile site\" href=\"http:\/\/boostapps.com\">BoostApps<\/a> site using Opera Mini .\u00a0\u00a0 The issue is that by default Facebook Fan Pages have a fuggly URL like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/BoostApps\/175451287173\">www.facebook.com\/pages\/BoostApps\/175451287173<\/a>. Not only is that\u00a0a terrible URL for discovery and sharing but it breaks when visited with a phone browser.\u00a0 Facebook&#8217;s mobile detection script redirects it to <em>m.facebook.com\/pages\/BoostApps\/175451287173<\/em> which is an invalid address.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately there is an easy fix, you just need to create a Username for you page.\u00a0 \u00a0 Here&#8217;s how:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"BoostApps Facebook Page \" src=\"https:\/\/wapreview.com\/images\/FacebookBoostApps.jpg\" alt=\"BoostApps Facebook Page \" width=\"189\" height=\"233\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/username\/\">www.facebook.com\/username\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Log in if prompted<\/li>\n<li>Click the &#8220;<em>Set a username for your Pages.&#8221;<\/em> link<\/li>\n<li>Choose\u00a0 your Page from the drop down and enter your desired username when prompted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I choose &#8220;<em>BoostApps<\/em>&#8221; for my page&#8217;s Username. Now users can visit the page at an easy to remember URL: <a title=\"mobile site\" href=\"http:\/\/facebook.com\/boostapps\">http:\/\/facebook.com\/boostapps<\/a> &#8211; and it works in both mobile and desktop browsers!<\/p>\n<p>Facebook does require that your page have at least 25 fans in order to be able to set a username.\u00a0 Usernames can only contain alphanumeric characters and periods.
