What is this website? This is an archive of wapreview.com, a blog about the early days of the web on mobile phones.  It was active between 2004 and 2014.

Why is the site called Wap Review? WAP is an arcroym for Wireless Application Protocol, an early standard for displaying web content on mobile phones. Wap Review showcased new WAP sites and covered mobile web development trends and techniques.

Why did you stop updating the site? By 2010 WAP was obsolete. It was developed for early phones with slow processors and very little memory. iPhones and Android phones where able to display full sized web pages. Advancements in web technology allowed sites to work well on almost any screen size eliminating the need for separate desktop and mobile sites.
