DotMobi’s New WordPress Mobile Plugin

Images courtesy of dotMobi dotMobi just released WordPress Mobile Pack, a plugin that creates a mobile version of your WordPress Blog.  There are at least a half a dozen plugins that claim to do the same thing so you might ask if we really need yet another.  I’ve been playing with a pre-release version of Mobile Pack  for the last week and believe that is the most complete, standards compiant and extensible yet.  It’s also very easy to install and … Continue reading

Instant Mobilizer Taking Off

Ronan Cremin at dotMobi sent over an image containing sheetshots of some of the thousands of sites that have been created with Instant Mobilizer since its launch at MWC two months ago.  I’ve reproduced a small part of it above.  The whole image is 2714 x 3473  px so what you are looking at is only about 1/60 of it.  If you want to see it all,  click here.  Be warned that the jpeg is a little over 3 MB … Continue reading

CTIA: dotMobi to Revamp Developer Site and More

I had a long talk with dotMobi‘s Paul Nerger at CTIA earlier this week.  Paul is VP of Advanced Services and Applications which means he works with all the cool stuff that dotMobi is doing to help developers and publishers build better mobile sites more quickly and easily.  He filled me in on what’s happening at dotMobi which is really quite a lot. This coming Monday, Sept 15th, the developer portal dev.mobi, which hosts developer forums,  the devMobi blog and … Continue reading
