How To Fix Word Wrap In Opera Mobile on Symbian

I’ve been using my N8 a lot lately and because the Symbian^3 browser is so bad (slow, too small default fonts and no text-reflow on zoom) I’ve been using Opera Mobile 10.1 quite a bit as well. It’s a much better browser overall; it’s noticeably at faster loading complex pages, has tabs, lets you copy page text,  has some HTML5 support including geolocation and text is supposed to reflows to fit the screen width. But I keep running into pages … Continue reading

The main changes in this release are said to be increased stability and more localized versions.  There’s a  full change … Continue reading

If you never used Opera Mobile before the first thing you will notice is that it’s look and feel are almost identical to that of Opera Mini.  Appearances are deceiving in this case … Continue reading

Download Beta 2 at m.opera.com/next.  The main feature of the new release is the addition of the Carakan JavaScript engine’s Just In Time (JIT) compiler. Opera claims the new compiler makes JavaScript execution up to four times faster. I tested that claim by running the popular Sunspider JavaScript benchmark on a Nokia N95-3, first with Opera Mini 10.1 Beta 1 and … Continue reading
