Mobile technologists and visionaries gather monthly at MobileMonday events in over 60 cities around the world to see presentations by local startups. All the Mobile Monday chapters have Web sites, and most also have mobile sites. Here's the Tokyo chapter's site which has a calendar of future MOMo events and nice writeup of past ones.
