New Look Mobile

New Look, a UK based retailer of Men and Women's Clothing and Teen Fashions, has reported seeing 500% increase in mobile online sales since launching a redesigned mobile site in May.

The redesign by Mobile Interactive Group (MIG) employs HTML5 and JavaScript to deliver a rich "app like" experience complete with  zooming and spinning effects in capable browsers. MIG's mobile platform supports over 12,000 different devices and the New Look site's adaptive design delivers almost the same appearance even in legacy feature phone browsers without JavaScript support.

I had no trouble navigating and using the site in the Android, Symbian and Opera Mini browsers and with the Myriad WAP browser on a cheap prepaid phone.

New Look operates over 1000 stores in the UK, Ireland, Russia, Poland, the Middle East and Singapore. It also does a big online business and ships to customers worldwide with free international shipping on orders over £55.
