Entertainment/Mobile Video
Nokia Video Links: videolinks.nokia.com Recent Nokia phones come with this bookmark pre-configured. It’s a pretty comprehensive list of mobile video sites both Nokia sites and third party ones.
YouTube Mobile: (m.youtube.com/?client=ytdemo) First spotted by Symbian-Freak, as a link on the Nokia Video Links page, this looks like the soft launch of YouTube’s mobile effort. Although many bloggers are suggesting that this is a Nokia/YouTube joint effort and that it only works with Nokia N-Series handsets, I’m able to view and stream videos from this site using my desktop PC browser without even altering the UserAgent. I think the actual streams should work on non-Nokia phones as long as they support the right codecs, H263 video and amr audio in a 3gp container, pretty much standard for GSM phones.
Entertainment/Music-Nightlife
South by Southwest Festival: (sxsw.mobi) The official site of SXSW which starts Mar. 9th this year. View schedules and download your choice of hundreds of mp3’s and movie trailer videos in 3gp, mp4 and wmv mobile formats. You can also search for band appearances and movie screenings by SMS.
Entertainment/TV
Bravo: (wap.bravo.mlogic3g.com/) Bravo is a cable TV network with a number of hot shows currently including Top Chef and Project Runway. The mobile site features photos, blogs and a store where you can buy ringtones and wallpapers and have videos MMS’ed to your phone.
News/US Local by State/NY – TX
Mansfield News Journal: (http://m.mansfieldnewsjournal.com) Mansfield is an Ohio city of 50,000. The News Journal is the latest of the many Gannett papers to mobilize using the same efficient template as the others.
Newark Advocate: (m.newarkadvocate.com) Mobile edition of the Newark, Ohio daily newspaper, another Gannett paper.
Search/Local
Starbucks Locater: (mobile.starbucks.com) Finally a mobile Starbucks Locater that works – US and Canada only, unfortunately. Enter a zip code to get a listing of all nearby Starbucks with address, click-t0-call link and a little wifi indicator for those shops that have it. Clicking a listing brings up a scrollable, zoomable map showing the latte shop’s location.
Search/Traffic
ViewTraffic: (viewtraffic2.net) This site aggregates links to live traffic cameras in the US. Currently list over 800 cameras in 10 states. The well organized organized site makes it easy to find cameras in your area although the images tend to a little large for most mobile browsers.
Technology/Mobile/Smartphones
BlackBerryCool: (blackberrycool.com/wp-mobile.php) mobile edition a very active blog covering the BlackBerry mobile email/smartphone device.
Technology/Mobile/Smartphones/Microsoft
XDA-Developers: (forum.xda-developers.com/archive) A tech forum devoted to HTC manufactured Windows Mobile devices. A great resource not only for developers but for anyone interested in getting the most from their HTC handset. Sadly, one of the best features of the site, it’s huge library of ROM images, useful for upgrading your phone with the latest enhancements and bug fixes, is being taken down at the request of Microsoft lawyers! A stupid move by Microsoft which will drive away the most dedicated and enthusiastic users of the Winows Mobile platform and encourage mobile Linux adoption.
Travel-Transit

Welcome to http://wap.dlog.cn in chinese.
Here in Nairobi, Kenya the YouTube Mobile page just has a simple place holder page stating that the site, which you obviously obviously seem to have full access to, ‘is coming soon…’
So maybe whether you can view it or not is in part determined by IP.
I’ve tried to go to the Youtube site with a Samsung SGH D600 but I got a message telling me that” the page was not available”. Maybe it does only work on Nokia phones for now.
