New UC Browser 7.7 For Symbian, Windows and Java – Touch UI and Performance Enhancements

Last week, UC Browser (formerly UCWEB) launched a new English language edition of UC Browser 7.7 for Symbian V.1-5, Java ME and Windows Mobile touchscreen V.5.0 and latter.  Download it from www.ucweb.com (PC) or wap.ucweb.com (mobile). UC Browser 7.5 for Android English Translation

UC Browser 7.5 for Java ME Goes Public

UC Browser 7.5 for Java ME has been released.  There are no obvious differences from the Beta I blogged about last month, although I imagine there are some behind the scenes bug fixes. Download UC 7.5 Java from ucweb.com or wap.uc.cn (mobile). Download the New UC Browser 7.5 Beta For Java ME

Yesterday China’s UC Mobile Ltd released a Beta of the a 7.5 version of the UC Browser for Java ME. It’s available in English, Indonesian, Vietnamese and Russian, but only from the UC Forum. UC Browser 7.4 For Symbian, Java and Windows Mobile

UC Mobile Limited launched an English language version of UC Browser 7.4 today. It’s available now at ucweb.com (mobile: wap.ucweb.com) for Symbian 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th editions, Java and Windows Mobile.  The Symbian 5th edition version also works on Symbian^3 phones like the N8. You need to download it from the UC site as the Ovi Store still lists the older 7.2 version. Android and iPhone releases of 7.4 are expected soon. It’s been quite a while since I’ve written about the UC Browser (formerly UCWEB).  It’s a proxy based browser similar in concept to Opera Mini. The company behind the UC Browser, UC Mobile Limited, is based in Guangzhou, China and  UC is the most popular mobile browser in China, claiming over 100 million users.
