WIP, the Wireless Industry Partnership, is holding an event modestly labeled “The Muther! of All Hackathons + DevCon” on Friday, June 24 through Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Computer History Museum, 1401 N. Shoreline Blvd., Mountain View, CA.
The DevCon portion of the event runs on both days and will include presentations, UnPanels and beginner and master mobile app development classes.
The Hackthon will give developers a chance to work individually or in teams to create something cool and compete for prizes in up to two of the ten available categories. There are categories for both native and Web app developers including ones for Best HTML5 App and Best Mobile Web App. The hacking starts at 2PM on Friday and runs through 11:30 AM Saturday morning. It’s followed by each app getting a 90 second lightning demo round, judging and the awards ceremony.
The Muther costs only $42 which includes meals, snacks, drinks, a party Friday night and a chance of some cool swag and maybe some new devices. For more information and to sign up visit the Muther! of all Hackathons site.
If you want to save $42, and who doesn’t, I have 10 free passes to the Muther! that I’m giving away on a first come, first serve basis.
If you would like a pass, simply leave a comment on this post saying that you want one. First 10 comments get a pass. Include a valid email address in the email field on the comment form so that I can send you the code. Do not put your email in the body of the comment where spam bots can harvest it.
Update 5-Jun-2011: The free passes are gone, comments are closed
