The iPhone has spawned a bunch of new mobile web sites launching as “iPhone Applications”. You can find a big listing of these at iPhoneApplicationList.com. Many need the advanced JavaScript capabilities and 480px wide screen of the iPhone but some like 101cookbooks will work on almost any phone.

101cookbooks is the site of San Francisco photographer, cookbook author and collector of cookbooks, Heidi Swanson. Heidi has a lot more than 101 cookbooks and every few days she publishes a recipe from one of them accompanied by one of her gorgeous photos of the finished dish. There is a recipe archive of several hundred dishes organized by recipe type like Appetizers, Main Courses, Deserts, Vegetarian, Low Carb, Gluten Free etc.
