Mobile 2.0 Barcelona June 18-19

Mobile 2.0 Europe BannerMy favorite mobile conference, Mobile 2.0 is happening  in Barcelona next month, June 18-19.  I’ve been to all three of the Mobile 2.0 events in San Francisco and have been very impressed with quality of the speakers, panels and with the fast moving, “no PowerPoints” format. This is the second European Mobile 2.0. I have no budget for travel so I wasn’t able to make it to the first one last year, but it was bigger and by some accounts even better than the San Francisco events.

For the first time Mobile 2.0 will be a two day gathering. June 18th will be  Developer’s Day and the 19th will be the Conference proper.  The event’s sponsors,   dotopen and the Mobile 2.0 Organizing Committee. have lined up an impressive array of presenters including:

Tommy Ahlers, Founder of Zyb, now Head of LBS at Vodafone / CEO at Wayfinder Systems.
Andrew Berglund – Global Interactive Creative Director at Cheil Communications.
Xavier Carrillo Costa – CEO / Founder Digital Legends Entertainment.
Andreas Constantinou, Ph.D. – Research Director at VisionMobile
Regine Debatty – we-make-money-not-art.com.
Dr. Lai Kok Fung – Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder BuzzCity.
Tom Hume – Managing Director of Future Platforms.
Matthaus Krzykowski – Mobile Correspondent, VentureBeat.
Brian LeRoux – PhoneGap and Nitobi.
Inma Martinez – Digital Media Strategist and Investment Advisor at Stradbroke.
Charles McCathieNevile – Chief Standards Officer at Opera Software.
Dr. Maximilian Niederhofer – Associate, Atlas Venture.
Pat Phelan – founder and President of Cubic Telecom (MAXroam).
Priya Prakash – Designer of Tools, Conversations & Experiences.
