SkyFire 1.1 – Faster Startup, Better Usability

Late yesterday SkyFire released version 1.1 of their namesake browser for Windows Mobile 5 and 6  and Symbian S60 3rd edition.  You can download SkyFire 1.1 to your phone or PC from get.skyfire.com. Yahoo Rolls Out New Mobile Portal

It looks like Yahoo is slowly replacing their legacy mobile web portal with the greatly enhanced  one that they announced at MWC and which I reviewed a Beta of in April.  According to a press release issued today users with supported handsets in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Australia, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Spain and Italy should be seeing the updated site. Lodging.mobi is the latest in a number of new mobile hotel search and reservation sites to launch this year. Nice to see this long neglected area of the mobile web finally getting some attention. The site has an inventory of over 75,000 hotels around the world.
