Coders.mobi – A Blog for Mobile Web Developers

There is a new blog aimed specifically at mobile web developers. It’s Coders.mobi and offers tutorials, tips and tricks, code snippets and mobile site and toolkit reviews. I think that there is a real need for a site like this. Good news for Windows Mobile (a.k.a. New Mobile Bookmarklet – View PDFs As HTML

Last month I wrote about an easy way to view those pesky PDF documents in many mobile browsers. That method used a bookmarklet that rewrites links to PDFs so that they open in the online PDF to Image converter at view.samurajdata.se.  WapReview reader Serola just sent me another bookmarklet that uses a different online PDF conversion service, pdfdownload.org, which converts the documents into HTML instead  images. Bugs Kill the User Experience With the Post Office’s Mobile Site

The United States Postal Service (USPS) recently launched a mobile web site. Features include package tracking, a post office locator with information on hours and last mail pickup times and a couple of zip code search tools; one that gives the zip code for a given address and another which tells you what city a zip code is located in. UC Browser Version 7 Beta 2 Is Much Improved – But Popular Sites Are Blocked By The “Great Firewall”

There is a major new release of  the UCWEB browser in the works.  It’s Version 7.0 and is already in its second Beta.  The official Beta releases are Chinese only but several users have created English translations and posted them to the UCWEB User Forum.
