I’ll be at Google I/O in San Francisco tomorrow and Thursday. Mostly I’ll be haunting the mobile sessions, although I want to take in a some of the App Engine and AJAX ones too.
It looks like the mobile track is all Android, which is great. With the slew of recent Android device announcements and project head Andy Rubin recently saying that Android is “revolutionary“, I’m hoping for some major Android news out of I/O this year.
I also want to learn about the mobile AJAX behind things like the new Gmail web app for the iPhone and Android. I’ve started to play with App Engine for mobile web projects and discovered that I have a lot to learn. I expect to get pretty deeply immersed in the sessions but I’ll try to blog or tweet anything that seems newsworthy on the mobile front. I’m yeswap on Twitter and I’ll be using the #io2009 hashtag for event related tweets.
If you are going to I/O and want to meet up send me an email using the contact form which goes straight to my BlackBerry’s inbox.
