mjoy – Free International SMS

Here is a new service that promises to make sending and receiving text messages free, and that includes international texting. It’s called mjoy and is a product of German based, Venista Group. Free Symbian Partner Event Dec. 4th in San Francisco

Symbian is holding a Partner Event in San Francisco on December 4th.  Traditionally these been restricted to Symbian Ltd licenses, but now they are open to the mobile community without charge.  This comes after Nokia purchased Symbian Ltd earlier this year and turned its assets over to the new non-profit Symbian Foundation which will open source the entire OS under the Eclipse Public License. Opera Mini 4.2 Full Release and Android

Opera Software announced the production release of Opera Mini 4.2 today.  The new release, a minor upgrade from 4.1, is largely unchanged from the 4.2 Beta launched two weeks ago.  It includes bug fixes, the addition of Cyrillic language characters to the browser’s “small” font and a version of Opera Mini 4.2 for the T-Mobile G1 Android phone.
