Skyfire 0.9 – WVGA Support, Twitter and Facebook Integration

Skyfire released a new Beta of their free mobile browser for Windows Mobile and S60, Version 0.9. This is a big upgrade, the release notes are huge. Here are some of the highlights. Skyfire now supports almost all Windows Mobile screen resolutions; QVGA (320×240, 240×320), WQVGA (400×240), VGA (640×480), and WVGA (800×480).  On S60, support for the N80’s 352×416 resolution has been added.  No joy for E90 (800 x 352) users yet though. Wamaja – A New Mobile Social Network With Federated IM

Wamaja (wamaja.mobi) is a new mobile-only social network with blogs, photo sharing, chat and integrated instant messaging .  Wamaja members can IM with each other and with users on Google Talk, Chikka, Gizmo Tiscali.it and Jabber. NHL Mobile

New Opera Mini Beta Available

Opera has released a Beta of Version 4.2 of the popular Opera Mini browser.  Opera Mini is a free Java ME browser that brings full-web browsing to hundreds of phone models including most inexpensive feature phones. First Interstate – Mobile Banking Security Using SMS

First Interstate Bank, a regional bank with 50 locations and 100 ATMs in Montana and Wyoming, has launched a mobile banking site at firstinterstate.mobi. The bank is doing a good job of promoting the site with a prominent ad on their web home page and an extensive video tutorial.
