Vodafone rolled out a new transcoding proxy a couple months ago in the UK, their home market. Its stated aim is to make the full web available to Vodafone customers by reformatting web content designed for PCs – making it usable on mainstream mobile phones. Taming Opera Mini 4

I’ve been using the Opera Mini 4 Beta as my primary mobile browser lately. I have no problem putting up with its minor rendering issues and propensity to lose cookies because it loads pages much faster than version 3.1 and is just as stable. One thing I noticed though was that the mobile version of this blog didn’t work very well in Mini 4. Many pages required horizontal scrolling which I absolutely hate. MOSH – MObile Content SHaring from Nokia

Nokia has launched a mobile content sharing network called MOSH. There’s a PC site at mosh.nokia.com and the mobile version is at mosh.nokia.mobi. MOSH is an open network. Anyone can browse the site with a PC or phone and download videos, images, ringtones, games and applications. Registration, which can be done on either the PC or mobile site, is only required to upload. Multiply, a Content Sharing Network

Multiply (multiply.com/m/) is a social networking site which claims 6 million members. Multiply’s mobile edition comes in two forms, one for the iPhone and the other for all other mobile devices.
