It seems to be raining mobile browser updates. Yesterday Bolt issued a major update and it looks like Skyfire did a bug fix release on Monday. There are quite a few fixes in it. I’ve been using the new release of Bolt (V 1.04, aka Beta 3) for about a day now and I’m quite impressed. This release represents a significant upgrade. The new support for bold and italic fonts, file uploading and copying text from web pages is particularly welcome. Today Bitstream released a new version of their free, server assisted browser, Bolt. The new release is billed as Beta 3 and carries version number 1.04. I’ve added several new bookmarklets to the Tools section of the Opera Mini Bookmarklets page at o.Yeswap.com. If you aren’t familiar with bookmarklets they’re JavaScript snippets that live in a browser bookmark’s URL field. They are sort of a lightweight version of FireFox extensions. Last week UCWEB released a new Beta of their namesake product, a fast server based browser similar in concept to Opera Mini and Bolt but with some great additional features including tabbed browsing and the ability to copy text from web pages. O3Mobi’s Ozone is an interesting new web browser available for S60 3rd Edition Feature pack 1 and 2 phones. There’s also a version forUIQ 3 touch screen devices. Download Ozone from o3mobi.com.
