Opera Mini For Android Updated – Connection, Memory and Stability Fixes

Opera Software pushed out “Opera Mini Version 6.0, Update 3” for Android phones and tablets today. The full version number is 6.0.25174 and it seems to be strickly a  bug fix release. According to Opera the changes are Better memory handling. Fixed calculation of free space for downloads. Fixed issue with previous URL being reloaded upon startup. Hands On With Bolt Browser’s xAD Local Search

Bolt browser recently started returning results for local searches from mobile local search and advertising company xAD. According to xAD the partnership will give users more relevant results and added features like reviews, offers, maps and directions. Last week, UC Browser (formerly UCWEB) launched a new English language edition of UC Browser 7.7 for Symbian V.1-5, Java ME and Windows Mobile touchscreen V.5.0 and latter.  Download it from www.ucweb.com (PC) or wap.ucweb.com (mobile). New Symbian Browser: JavaScript Benchmarks and HTML5 Test Results

I’m pretty happy with the new “pre-PR 2.0” Symbian browser on the T-Mobile Astound version of the C7. Not only is the user interface nicer and the feature set improved but browsing seems a lot faster than the E7/N8 browser.
