A Great Little Phone – Nokia E6 Unboxing and First Impressions

WOMWorld/Nokia has loaned me a Nokia E6 to evaluate. Here are my initial impressions and few unboxing photos. Hardware: This is one solid little phone. Mine is black with white and stainless steel trim which I think looks quite nice on this particular phone. The battery door and sides are metal and the front is all glass. The body of the phone appears to be a high quality plastic that is almost indistinguishable from cast metal.  The back of the … Continue reading

Stay Away From Travelocity’s Mobile Site!

I don’t know about you but when I travel I tend to use my mobile browser a lot. Checking flight status, finding hotels and restaurants are common tasks for the traveler and even if you have a laptop with you it’s  usually easier to  just pull out your phone. I’ve never actually tried to book a flight using only a mobile browser but it is possible on many airline and online travel booking sites. However, the latest version of Online … Continue reading

Nokia’s Mobile Site Shows the N9 As Available Now In The US!

I fired up a Nokia N95-3 yesterday to test a mobile site’s compatibility with the old S60 3rd ed FP1 browser and look what came up when I opened the browser (images above). It’s a full screen ad for the N9. I believe that it will appear on any N95-3 where the user hasn’t altered the default homepage. The North American N95-3’s default home page is www.nseries.com/usportal/ which redirects to http://nokian9.12dld.mobi/n9/view.do?name=NOKIAN9, a promotional site for the as yet unreleased N9 MeeGo … Continue reading
